        SEASON 2016-17

Glebe Rangers are into the 4th Round of the prestigious Steel and Sons Cup competition where they will meet Dunmurry YM at the Joey Dunlop Stadium Ballymoney on September 24th. Ballynure Old Boys who had a comprehensive win in Round 2 against Derriaghy were dismissed from the competition by the Steel and Sons Committee after Derriaghy alleged Ballynure OB played an ineligible player. Ballynure OB strenuously disputed this claim and have appealed the decision as the rule is a very debatable and open to major doubt.

To rub salt into the wound Ballynure have also found that several members on the Committee who ruled against them are fellow members of the Amateur League that Derriaghy play in.

This has certainly raised major question about the impartiality of the Committee?
