BRANTWOOD                   3              WAKEHURST                     1

Brantwood were early on teh attack and went in front after Anthony Philpott scored on the 19th minute then had a man sent off on the 23rd minute. Wakehurst got back on level terms after Andy Loughlin scored on the 27th then had the chance to go in front when awarded a penalty on the 45th minute. Keeper Darren Dempster came to the rescue of Brantwood when saving the penalty and this scoreline remained until Wakehurst made the extra man count with Stuart Nixon scoring on the 75th minute. Brantwood though a man down tried hard to get the equaliser teh Wakehurst sealed the win when Zac Barr scored on the 89th minute.     Referee Mr. Keith Halliday

DESERTMARTIN               2              MAGHERAFELT SKY BLUES         1

This was a typical derby game with the result in doubt right up to the final whistle. The Sky Blues went in front after Ryan Wilkinson scored on the 12th minute and at half-time this goal still separated the teams.  Both teams continued to attack in the second half then on the 58th minute Jamie O’Neil cracked home the equaliser for Desertmartin. This set the scene for a hectic finish with both teams going all-out for the winning goal. Time was running down fast when David Rowe proved to be the hero for Desertmartin when he scored their second goal on the 85th minute.     Referee Mr. Stephen Wallace

                                         CRAWFORD CUP 2nd ROUND

                                DUNLOY                               1              GLEBE RANGERS              0

This was a corker of a cup tine with the winning goal being scored on the 90th minute. Chances came and went for both teams during teh first-half but no goals were scored. A similar style of play continued in the second half then Dunloy had a man sent off for hand-ball and a penalty awarded to Glebe on the 75th minute. Keeper Sean Doherty came to the rescue of Dunloy when saving the penalty kick. Time was then almost on the blow when John John McFerran struck a sweet volley into the top corner of the Glebe net on the 90th minute to send Dunloy into the semi-final where they will meet the winners of the Wakehurst v Ballynure OB game.

Referee Mr. Mark McCurdy

                                                     McREYNOLDS CUP SEMI-FINAL

COAGH UNITED               2              BALLYNURE OB                1

There was certainly plenty of drama in this semi-final with three goals a sending off and a saved penalty during the ninety minutes. Coagh struck the first blow with Richard Donaghy scoring on the 10th minute then seeing Marc Leckey equalising for Ballynure on the 15th minute. Half-time was almost reached when James Tumelty scored a second goal for Coagh on the 43rd minute giving Coagh the edge at half-time. Ballynure then had a man sent off for a second yellow card on teh 70th minute then were awarded a penalty on the 75th minute. William Hassan in goal for Coagh made an excellent save to take Coagh into the final where they will meet Glebe Rangers later in the season.                Referee Mr. Joshua Porter

                                                IFA INTERMEDIATE CUP 4th ROUND

                                NEWTOWNE                       2              DONEGAL CELTIC            1

Not taking their chances to kill off the game and slack defending from set pieces cost Newtowne a good result from this game. Newtowne started off well and went in front after Paul McIvor scored on the 14th minute. Newtowne then had two gilt edged chances to stamp their authority on the game before half-time but failed to take them. Celtic came back stronger in the second half and scored two goals on the 70th and 72nd minute when Newtowne failed to deal with two corner kicks.

                                                                     JUNIOR DIVISIONS

COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC               1              COOKSTOWN RBL                          0

Though only one goal was scored in this local derby it did not take away from the competitive spirit of both teams who gave it their all for ninety minutes. Bothe teams had a couple of good chances to score during the first half but at half-time the scoreline was still blank. The Olympic then went down to ten men on the 60th minute having man sent off. The elusive goal came on the 74th minute when Nigel Johnston scored for the Olympic which decided the result at the end.        Referee Mr. Kenny Hayton

RATHCOOLE FC               4              MALLUSK ATHLETIC                      1

Rathcoole opened up strongly in this game taking the lead after Brian Black scored on the 22nd minute. Half-time was then approaching when Ross Watters scored on the 42nd minute followed by Brian Black scoring his second goal on teh 44th minute putting Rathcoole three goals clear at the break. Mallusk pulled a goal back on the 60th minute but Rathcoole replied to this with James Doyle converting a penalty on the 65th minute to complete the scoring on the day.             Referee Mr. Bert Purdy

SPORT & LEISURE SWIFTS RES                 1              WOODLANDS                    3

Woodlands collected three more points with this win and retain their position at the top of the league table. Alex Hagan opened the scoring for Woodlands on the 19th minute and held this lead until Steven McCann equalised for the Sports on the 46th minute. Stuart McCullough restored the Woodlands advantage after he scored on the 57th minute then Alex Hagan with his second goal on the 76th minute sealed the win.

Referee Mr. Russell Wilson

FC WHITEABBEY              5              DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS              3

Goals were certainly the order of the day in this game with a total of eight goals being scored. The man of the match for Whiteabbey was Michael Coiley who scored a hat-trick backed up with goals from Ryan O’Neil and Mark McCullough against three scored for Desertmartin by Kyle McElhatton, Alan Linton and Chris Kerr

Referee Mr. Gary Crawford

CLAOUGH RANGERS ATHLETIC                 4              MOUNTAINVIEW                              2

Clough were early on the goal scoring trail with Gary Hamilton putting them in front on teh 10th minute. Bryan Logan added a second goal for Clough on the 11th minute before Richard Ross made it three nil on the 21st minute. Mountainview came back into the game with goals on the 22nd and 28th minutes cutting the deficit to a single goal at half-time. There was little to choose between the teams in the second half except a goal scored by Gary Hamilton on the 69th minute that ensured all three points went to Clough.            Referee Mr. Brian Leitch

CASTLE STAR                   4              WAKEHURST STROLLERS           1

This was a welcome win for the Castle who have lost a few games recently by the odd goal and one of these being against the Strollers a few week back. The Castle went in front on the 10th minute after Lloyd Watters converted a penalty then goals scored by Andy Hall and Warren Brown on the 20th and 30th minutes saw Castle three nil in front at half-time. The Strollers got back into the game after Tom Campbell scored on the 62nd minute but Warren Brown with his second goal in teh game on the 72nd minute cancelled this goal out.

Referee Mr. Trevor Higgins

                                68th OB ‘B’                           3              WHITEHEAD RANGERS  4

The 68th took an early lead after Kyle Mann scored on the 7th minute then a penalty converted by Stuart Thompson on the 20th minute saw the teams back on level terms. As half-time was approaching Ross McMahon scored on the 40th minute putting the 68th back in front only to see Jon Clawson equalise on the 42nd minute.  Whitehead went in front after Danny Casey converted a penalty on the 51st minute and this scoreline remained until Tony McShane scored a fourth goal for Whitehead on teh 83rd minute before James Brown scored for the 68th on the 90th minute.            Referee Mr. Tommy Waide

                CARNLOUGH SWIFTS                    1              BRANTWOOD-LOUGHSIDE          4

The surprising thing about this game was no goals were scored during the first-half. Things changed when Alexander Johnston scored on the 58th minute putting Carnlough in front then goals scored by Stuart Johnston and Steve Leckey on the 62nd and 65th minute saw Brantwood in front. Louis Higgins added a third goal for Brantwood on the 70th minute before Steve Leckey scored his second goal in the game on the 90th minute.

Referee Mr. Lee Patterson

ANTRIM ROVERS SWIFTS            7              RED STAR                           0

The swifts were certainly on song in this game taking the lead after Tommy Bownes scored on the 19thminute. Tommy Bownes completed his hat-trick with goals on the 43rd and 50th minutes before Glenn Vance scored on the 60th minute. Red Star tried hard to get back into the game but three more goals scored by Gary Wilkinson 76th, Adam Connolly 78th and Gary Wilkinson 90th minutes completed the scoring on the day.

Referee Mr. Richard Stewart

                                                                CANADA TROPHY 2nd ROUND

COOKSTOWN YOUTH                    4              BRANTWOOD RES                          1

This game was personal triumph for Mark McMenemy who scored all four goals for the Youth. The Youth took an early lead on the 6th minute when Mark McMenemy scored his first goal but had to wait until the 42nd minute for their second goal. Mark McMenemy completed his hat-trick on the 53rd minute and this scoreline remained until Sam Morgan pulled goal back for Brantwood on the 84th minute. The game was then in the 86th minute when Mark McMenemy scored his fourth goal.            Referee Mr. Kenny Bigger

BALLYCLARE NORTH END           0              NEWINGTON YC RES                      8

James Moore opened the scoring for Newington on the 16th minute then goals scored by Conal McKeown 17th, Mark Kelly 20th and Chris Begley 22nd minutes saw Newington four goals clear. As half-time was approaching Daniel Moore scored a brace of goals on the 39th and 43rd minutes making it Six Nil. Newington scored two more goals in the second half through Pardep Hawa and Daniel Moore on the 54th and 76th minutes.

Referee Mr. Samuel Forsythe

                                                LINDA WELSHMAN MEMORIAL CUP SEMI-FINAL

                                REMO FC                             0              3rd BALLYCLARE OB                       3

There is a saying in football those who take their chances usually end up winning against those that don’t. Remo who have been scoring plenty of goals of late were certainly showed how to take your chances by Ballyclare who went in front after Marc Campbell scored on the 19th minute. Ballyclare went two goals clear after Steve Howe scored on the 34th minute and held this advantage at half-time. Time was then running down when Marc Campbell scored his second goal on the 80th minute to seal the win taking Ballyclare into the final where they will meet either Ballyclare North End or Carnlough Swifts.  Referee Mr. Paul Aston
