FRIDAY 11th MAY 2018

DUNLOY 1 COAGH UNITED 1  (After Extra-Time)

           (Dunloy won 4-3 on Penalties)

Both teams played the ball about in id-field at the start then on the 19thminute Dunloy struck with James Scally crossing the ball into the Coagh goal area where Karl Fitzpatrick scored with a well-placed shot. Coagh got back on level tram on the 25th minute when after a corner was cleared Jason Ferry played the ball across a crowded Dunloy goals where Daniel McKinless scored from close range. Dunloy then had a great chance to go in front on the 28th minute from the penalty spot but unfortunately John John McFerran put his shot the wrong side of the post. Half-time saw the teams still level then Dunloy introduced Conal Dooey on the right wing and he certainly caused Coagh a lot of trouble setting up a number chances but none were taken and at the end of ninety minutes’ extra-time was introduced. Dunloy had a couple of good chance in the extra time but one had the feeling if Coagh got a clear break they would make Dunloy pay for their missed opportunities. With no more goals scored penalties were taken with Dunloy Converting four to three by Coagh. At the end the Cup was presented by the league Chairman Ian Shiels to the Dunloy Captain Duane Scott.
