Sofia farmer                         v              Lower Maze                          @ Allen Park. Antrim

COAGH UNITED       1             MAGHERAFELT SKY BLUES    0

Both teams got into their stride early in the game with the first clear chance falling to the Sky blues but with it not being taken half-time came with no goals being scored. The second half saw both teams play it tight then on the 65th minute Coagh went on front after Richard Donaghy scored after receiving the ball from a long throw in. The Shy Blues then went down to ten men on the 70th minute having a man sent off and after this Coagh with the extra player closed up shop for teh win.     Referee Mr. Joshua Porter

                            GLEBE RANGERS     3               DESERTMARTIN    0

Glebe took an early lead after being awarded a penalty on teh 5th minute when Danny Brown was impeded in the penalty box resulting in Ricky Dunlop scoring from the spot. Glebe went on to double their advantage after Luke Mitchell scored on the 24th minute and this score remained until Davy Reid popped up with a third goal giving Glebe a comfortable lead at half-time. After the break there was a sudden deterioration on the weather with strong wind and rain which made it difficult for both teams who were glad to hear the final whistle.

Referee Mr. Diarmuid Harrigan

                              WAKEHURST           3              SOFIA FARMER    0

Wakehurst went in front after Sofia failed to clear a corner kick on the 6th minute which resulted in Ryan Bamber scoring from close range. After this there was little between the teams until a bad clearance from the Sofia defence saw Stewart Nixon scored from 35 yards out giving Wakehurst a two goal cushion at half-time. Sofia who played lots of nice football will have to learn there is also a physicality side of the game as well. Sofia went three goals behind after Andy Laughlin scored goal number three on the 65th minute for Wakehurst giving his team a winning start to their league campaign.        Referee Mr. Niall Gallagher

                                NEWTONWE           2              CHIMNEY CORNER      1

It took both teams a while to settle down in their first competitive game of the season and as a result no goals had been scored at half-time. Things changed early in the second half when Conor Logue opened the scoring for Newtowne on the 46th minute. Play opened up after this with both teams having a chance to score before Oisin Hassan doubled the Newtowne lead on the 73rd minute. The Corner never gave up the chase getting back into the game after David Hanna scored on the 83rd minute and from then until the final whistle gave Newtowne a few anxious moments.      Referee Mr. Gareth Stewart

COUNTY ANTRIM STEEL & SONS CUP

                                                                         1st ROUND

                         18th NEWTOWNABBEY    2           BRANTWOOD      3

This was a good win for Brantwood against 18th and gives them a home game against Glentoran 2nds in the 2nd Round. Brantwood went in front after Mark Rainey scored on the 7th minute then a penalty converted by 18th on the 17th minute levelled the game. Half-time was almost reached when Curtis Dempster put Brantwood back in front with a well directed shot on the 42nd minute. Brantwood went two goals clear after Mark Tweedie scored on the 47th minute and held this lead until 18th got a second goal on the 79th minute. After this 18th went looking for the equaliser but Brantwood closed up at the back to collect the win
