Friday night will see the first Cup Final of the season when Killymoon Rangers will meet Castle Star in the final of the Linda Welshman Memorial Cup at Allen Park. Antrim (Chimney Corners Ground) with the Kick off @ 6.45pm

 

O'Gorman Cup Final will be played on Friday Night 4th May between Bangor FC v Glebe Rangers Kick off 7.00pm

McReynolds Cup Final will be played on Friday Night 11th May between Dunloy v Coagh United Kick off 7.00pm

 

Admission to All Finals is Adults £5.00 with Children Free

 SATURDAY

 INTERMEDIATE 

LEAGUE

BALLYNURE OB 2 COOKSTOWN RBL 0

Both teams had a chance or two before Ryan Stewart hit home a brace of goals for Ballynure on the 30th and 35th minutes. After this there were more chances created but none were taken. Referee Mr. John Maxwell

DESERTMARTIN 2 COOKSTOWN YOUTH 3

Desertmartin went two goals clear with goals scored by Darren Scott and Mark Shields on the 23rd and 28th minutes. The Youth hit back getting on level terms after Jack Wilson and Paul Stewart scored on the 34th and 36th minutes. More goals were expected in the second half but the only goal was scored by Rene Matiko on the 67th minute that won the game for the Youth.

COAGH UNITED 11 SOFIA FARMER 0

The game was scoreless then in the twentieth minute the Sofia Farmer Keeper received a straight Red Card from the referee. After this Andrew Neill converted a penalty for Coagh on the 23rd minute followed by Matthew Kempton and Stefan Thompson scoring on the 25th and 42nd minutes. The Flood gates then opened in the second half with more goals scored by Stefan Thompson (3), Drew Kelly (2) and  Jon Young (3) without reply. Referee Mr. Charlie Pollock 

O’GORMAN CUP SEMI-FINALS

St JAMES SWIFTS 4 BANGOR FC 5 (After penalties)

In a very close game the first thing of note was Bangor having a man sent off on the 38th minute. Shortly after this Bangor went in front through a goal scored by Ross Craig. St James got back into the game when Gary Dorrian scored to take the game into extra time. St James then had a man sent off on the 95th minute and with no more goals scored prnalties followd with Bangor converting Four to Three by St James Swifts. Referee Mr. Ally Burns

BRANTWOOD 0 GLEBE RANGERS 2

After a steady start by both teams Glebe went in front after Peter Kennoway scored with a header on the 25th minute. Half-time saw Glebe still ahead then a second goal scored by Chad Dobbin on the 61st minute sealed the win for Glebe.

McREYNOLDS CUP SEMI-FINAL

NEWTOWNE 1 DUNLOY 3

Dunloy went in front through a goal scored by Zac McConnell on the 1st minuute then followed this with a second goal scored by Karl Fitzpatrick on the 15th minute. Newtowne got back into te game after Paul McIver scored on the 60th minute but Dunloy cancelled this out immediately with Kark Fitzpatrick scoring his second goal on the 61st minute. Referee Mr. David Kelly

MID-WEEK LEAGUE GAMES

INTERMEDIATE 

NEWTOWNE 1 DUNLOY 2

Two goals scored by Kieran Hughes 26th minute and Karl Fitzpatrick 80th minute had Dunloy in a strong position before Blain Morrison scored for Newtowne on the 88th minute. Referee Mr. Simon McKay

BALLYNURE OB 3 SOFIA FARMER 0

An own goal on 15 minute put Ballynure in  front then two more goals scored by Robert Watson and Michael Duff on the 31st and 74th minutes sealed the win. Referee Mr. Rowan Vernon

COOKSTOWN YOUTH 4 St JAMES SWIFTS 3

This was a big result for the Youth but a set-back for St James in the quest to win the League Title. Goals from Paul Stewart and Rene Matiko on the 10th and 20th minutes saw the Youth go clear. St James hit back with goals from Sean Pat Donnelly on the 31st minute and a brace from Padraig McCormick on the 46th and 49th minutes to lead. Rene Maitko then scored his second goal on the 72nd minute and the winner on the 88th minute. Referee Mr. Kevin Taggart

BRANTWOOD 0 COAGH UNITED 1

Brantwood had the chance to go in front but failed to convert a penalty in the first-half which cost them. Chances came and went for both teams before James Ferguson scored the only goal in the game for Coagh on the 80th minute.    Referee Mr. Glenn McKinstry

GLEBE RANGERS 3 CHIMNEY CORNER 0

Lee Mitchell scored brace of goals for Glebe on the 30th and 34th minute giving Glebe a good cushion at half-time. Ian Christie completed the scoring on the 72nd minute. Referee Mr. Paul Douglas

SOFIA FARMER 0 GLEBE RANGERS 6

Chris Nicholl put Glebe in front on the 20th minute then Chad Dobbin scored number two on the 32nd minute. More goals followed from Jake Francis 60th, Scott Douglas 70th, Cameron Kane 77th and Davy Reid 81st minutes. Referee Mr. Ronnie Allen

JUNIOR TWO

COOKSTOWN RBL RES 0 KILLYMOON RANGERS 3

Killymoon were in front after Warren Smith scored on the 5th minute then goals from Ricky Donaghy on the 7th minute and Stuart Donaghy 89th minute sealed the win. Referee Mr. Kenny Bigger

BRANTWOOD-LOUGHSIDE 0 CASTLE STAR 3

This was three very valuable points to Castle thanks to goals scored by Philip Matthews on the 12th and 24th minutes and Jonny Robb on the 72nd minute. Referee Mr. Matthew Shaw

JUNIOR DIVISIONS LEAGUE GAMES

ONE

NEWINGTON YC RES 4 WOODLANDS 2

The teams had been in close contact at the top of the league table going in to the final games but as Newington picked up wins Woodlands faltered slightly losing ground. Newington went in front after Joe Meaney scored on the 1st inute followed by Daniel Moore scoring a second for Newington on the 18th minute. Woodlands got back into the game after Alex Haggan scored on the 48th minute then Ryan Davidson scored for Newington on the 49th minute. Alex Haggan scored his second goal for Woodlands on the 60th minute before Conal McKeown scored number four for Newington on the 67th minute. Referee Mr. Matthew Shaw

TWO

COOKSTOWN YOUTH COLTS 4 ANTRIM ROVERS SWIFTS 0

This game turned into a very good one for the Colts player Steve Arrell who scored all four goals. The first goal in the game came on the 32nd minute followed by a second on the 34th minute then a thrird on the 41st minute. The second half saw only one goal that was scored on the 66th minute. Referee Mr. Bert Purdy

KILLYMOON RANGERS 6 NORTHEND UNITED YOUTH     0

Killymoon went in front after Owen Coyle scored on the 4th minute then followed this with goals scored by Ricky Donaghy on the 15th minute and Stuart Donaghy on the 21st minute. Ricky Donaghy made it four nil on the 26th minute and on the 36th minute Stuart Donaghy made it five nil. The second half saw only the one goal scored by Warren Smyth on the 67th minute.

68th NEWTOWNABBEY 'A' 0 CASTLE STAR 3

Castle kept their hopes of catching Killymoon with this win now a lot will depend on who wins the back to back games between Killymoon and Castle when they meet. Castle went in front after Noel Williams scored on the 35th minute then  goals scored by Jonny Robb on the 57th and Paul Garvey on the 85th minutes sealed the win. Referee Mr. Travor Higgns

THREE

CARNLOUGH SWIFTS 0 BALLYCLARE NORTH END 2

The first-half was fairlay evenly divided by the two teams except for the goal scored by Sammy McGookin that saw North End in front at the break. Carnlough had to chase the game in the second half and this allowed North End to sit back and hit on the break which thay did with good effect with Daniel Fahy scoring to seal the win. CANADA TROPHY ROUND 2

FC WHITEABBEY 2 RATHCOOLE FC 1

Whitreabbey went in front after Gerard Reynolds scored on the 15th minute then doubled their advantage after Mark Tutiin scored on the 25th minute. Both teams had a chnace to score before half-time bt it was still two nil for Whiteabbey at the break. Rathcoole got a goal back after Steve Coppen scored on the 65th minute. After this it was all hands to the pump defending by Whiteabbey that took them through to the next round. Referee Mr. Paul Aston

CLOUGH RANGERS ATHLETIC 5 COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 3

The Olympic went in front after Nigel Johnston scored on the 11th minute then Clough replied with Chris McDonald scoring on the 15th minute. The Olympic then went two goals ahead through goals scored by Nigel Johnstown on the 31st and Mark Montague on the 34th minutes. Clough hit back with Malcolm McDonald scoring on the 44th minute. Clough got back level after Chris McDonald scored on the 49th minute then brought his tally to four goals in the game scoring on the 65th and 75th minutes.
