Castle Star won the first knock out competition on Friday night when they beat Killymoon Rangers in the final of the Linda Welshman Memorial Cup at Allen Park. Antrim (Chimney Corners Ground)

Tuesday and Saturday saw Bangor record wins away to St James Swifts and Glebe Rangers to enhance their aspirations of winning the league title

Glebe who have three games more to play than Bangor can still lift the title if they win all their remaining games even if Bangor win their two remaining ones. It will be a big ask of Glebe to win their last five remaining league fixtures after a very long competitive Season in various Competitions.

Cup Finals

O'Gorman Cup Final will be played on Friday Night 4th May between Bangor FC v Glebe Rangers Kick off 7.00pm

McReynolds Cup Final will be played on Friday Night 11th May between Dunloy v Coagh United Kick off 7.00pm

Both Finals will be at Allen Park. Antrim 

Admission to All Finals is Adults £5.00 with Children Under 12 Free

LINDA WELSHMAN MEMORIAL CUP FINAL

KILLYMOON RANGERS 0 CASTLE STAR 2

In front of a very big crowd of supporters from both teams Castle got off to a good start in the game with Andy Hall crossing the ball in from the right for Jonny Robb to score from close range on the 5th minute. Castle began to rule the mid-field then on the 27th minute a break from Killymoon saw them awarded a penalty for hand-ball but saw Keeper Ryan Morrell saving the spot kick. Castle then went two goals clear on the 32nd minute after Jonny Robb set up the chance for Joel McMurtry to score from inside the penalty box. After this there were few good clear chances for either team until the 85th minute when Keeper Morrell made a super save to deny Warren Smyth then followwd with another top class save on the 89th minute. After the final whistle the Cup was presented to the Castle Club Captain Paul Matthews by the Chimney Corner stalwrt John Robinson. Referee Mr. Russell Wilson

GLEBE RANGERS 0 BANGOR FC 1

This was a typical top of the table clash with Bangor getting the early goal and defending their lead until the end. After a bright start by both teams Bangor went in front though a goal scored by Jordan Lucas. Chances had to be earned after this and with Bangor strong in defence at the end the single goal that won the game. Referee Mr. Iain Banks

St JAMES SWIFTS 10 BALLYNURE OB 2

St James who had lost to Bangor mid-week were on the goal trail early on going on to score goals through Eugene Gallagher (3), Sean Pat Donnelly (3), Padraig McCormack (3) and Terry McGrath with Robert Watson scoring both Ballynure goals.

DESERTMARTIN 3 BRANTWOOD     1

Half-time in this game saw no goals scored then on the 61st Minute Mark Scott put Desertmartin in front and then added a second on the 78th minute. Mark Larmour made it three nil for Desertmartin on the 86th minute before Jordan Kernoghan scored for Brantwood.

COAGH UNITED 1 NEWTOWNE 1

Chances had to be earned in this game an as a result few goals were scored. Newtowne went in front after Oisin Hassan scored on the 16th minute and at half-time this goal separarted the teams. Coagh got back on level terms after James Ferguson scored on the 61st minute and at the fianl whistle it was a point to each team. Referee Mr. Gerry Murray

DUNLOY FC 8 SOFIA FARMER 2

Karl Fitzpatrick put Dunloy in front then saw Mateous Santos equalise for Sofia before half-time. John John McFerran scored for Dunloy early in the second half followed by Zac McConnell before Rui Lanzinha scored for Sofia. After this Dunloy scored another five goals theough Kar Fitzpatrick, Declan McGarry, Kieran Hughes, Duane Scott and Conal Cunning.                    Referee Mr. Noel Crossan

INTERMEDIATE 

BALLYNURE OB 1 GLEBE RANGERS 5

Chris Nicholl put Glebe in front on the 32nd minute then Ricky Higgins converted a penalty for Ballynure on the 43rd minute. Luke Mitchell put Glebe back in front on the 50th minute. Three late goals scored by Chris Nicholl 80th and 83rd minutes and Curtis McCartney 91st minute completed the scoring. Referee Mr. Darren Hylands

COAGH UNITED 3 COOKSTOWN RBL 1

Coagh went in font after  Stuart Glasgow scored on the 46th minute and doubled their lead when Drew Kelly scored on the 61st minute. Lee Hunter sored for RBL on the 68th minute followed by Lee Smyth scoring number three for Coagh on the 84th minute.

St JAMES SWIFTS 0 BANGOR FC 4

This was a very big win for Bangor who went in front after Andy Long scored on the 20th minute. Mark Cooling then converted a penaty on the 30th minute putting Bangor two goals clear. Mark Cooling scored a second goal on the 46th minute followed by St James having mane sent off on the 53rd minute. With the extra man Bangor were able to sit back and hit on the break whch they did with Jordan Lucas scoring on the 72nd minute. Referee Mr Joshua Porter

DESERTMARTIN 11 SOFIA FARMER 0

Desertmartin went in front after Mark Sott scored on the 1st minute then goals from David Rowe (2), Mark Scott (2) and Colin Stewart saw Desertmartin six goals cler at half-time. More goals in the second half from Philip Caulfield, Mark Scott, Christopher Bigger and Mark Larmour (2) completed the scoring. Referee Mr Barry Maxwell

COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 0 3rd BALLYCLARE OB 3

After a good start by both teams Ballyclare went in front when Dylan Lemathieu scored on the 35th minute and this goal separated the teams at half-time. James Steel made it two nil for Ballyclare on the 55th minute followed by Taylor Hill converting a penalty for Ballyclare on the 65th minute. Referee Mr. Samuel Forsythe

FC WHITEABBEY 1 NEWINGTON YC RES 2

This was a very good derby game between two evenly matched teams. Newington went in front after Daniel Moore scored on the 15th minute then got a second scored by Mark Kelly on the 44th minute. Whiteabbey got back into the game after Sean Southam scored on the 65th minute then went all-out to get the equaliser that eluded them. Referee Mr. Richard Stewart

BRANTWOOD RES 4 ANTRIM ROVERS 1

Antrim went in front after Tommy Bownes scored on the 12th minute but back came Brantwood with Ryan McClean scoring the equaliser on the 13th minute. At half time the teams were still level pegging then a hat-trick of goals scored by Gareth McAuley on the 60th, 73rd and 78th minutes won the game for Brantwood. Referee Mr. Charlie Pollock

JUNIOR TWO

COOKSTOWN YOUTH COLTS 7 CLOUGH RANGERS ATHLETIC 1

This was a big win for the Colts but a bad result for Clough and hit their hopes for promotion with only their second defeat of the season. Ryan O'Neil put the Colts in front on the 3rd minute then a hat-trick from Steve Arrell with goals on the 5th, 27th and 40th minutes  plus Ethan Scott 42nd minute saw the Colts five goals clear at half-time. Philip Stewart made it six nil on the 46th minute and Kyle McMullan scored number seven on the 54th minute. Time was then  running down when Ryan Magill scored for Clough on the 83rd minute.
