Wakehurst with a big win over Desertmartin on Saturday continue to set the pace at the top of the Intermediate Division closely followed by Coagh United who have a 100% record and Glebe Rangers. Saturday saw all the Junior teams get into action for the first time this season.

Saturday next is a mixed bag of Fixtures with Divisional Association Competitions as well as league games planned to be played

This game was a bit closer than the scoreline would suggest but it all comes down to who makes the most of their chances. At the end Coagh collected the tree points thanks to goals scored by Ricky Donaghy, Jonathan Young and a brace from Aaron Campbell with Josh McIlroy scoring both of the Ballynure goals.

                MAGHERAFELT SKY BLUES                         1              BRANTWOOD       2

After a steady start by both teams Curtis Dempster scored on the 12th minute putting Brantwood in front. Brantwood went on to double their lead after Mark Tweedie scored on the 25th minute and this scoreline remained at half-time. The Sky Blues got back into the game after Diarmuid Larkin scored on the 47th minute but though they tried they could not get the equaliser before the final whistle.            Referee Mr. Noel Crossan

What a game nine goals scored and many more missed. Dunloy went in front after John John McFerran scored on the 6th minute then Steven Hawkins made it two nil on the 17th minute. The Corner hit back with goals scored by Darren Burgoyne and Stephen Hamill on the 28th and 33rd minutes. The Corner went two goals in front scored by Elliott McAnally and Rene Matiko on the 57th and 70th minutes. Dunloy hit back with Conor Reid and Steven Hawkins scoring on the 72nd and 76th minutes to level the scores. Time was then running down when John John McFerran converted a penalty on the 83rd minute to win the game for Dunloy.

Missed penalties cost Newtowne dear at the end of the game for a second week on the trot. The first half saw the teams play it very tight with no goals being scored. Newtowne then missed a penalty on the 75th minute and followed this with missing a second penalty on the 80th minute. Bothe teams then had a played sent off on the 82nd minute then on teh 84th minute Glebe won the game after Neil Shaw headed the ball in after free kick.

The Wakehurst bandwagon rolls on with another win while Desertmartin had another dismal day at the office. Stuart Nixon put Wakehurst in front on the 3rd minute followed by Zac Barr making it two nil on the7th minute. Wakehurst then went five nil in front before half-time with goals scored by Joan Dallas 22nd, Stuart Nixon 31st and Nicky Swann 40th minutes. Desertmartin tried hard to get going in the second half but to no avail then on the 79th minute Jon Dallas scored his second goal in the game to complete the scoring.

Both teams had chances to score before Jonny Rogers scored on the 42nd minute putting the Rovers ahead then saw Steve Hylands scored the equaliser for Brantwood on the 44th minute. No more goals were scored after this until Gareth McAuley scored for Brantwood on the72nd minute only see the Rovers hit back with goals scored by Owen McCartney on the 81st minute and a brace from Tommy Bownes on the 86th and 90th minutes to take all three points.          Referee Mr. Charlie Pollock

                                COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC               1              FC WHITEABBEY              3

Whiteabbey went in front after Sean Cowler scored on teh 17th minute then a penalty converted by Conor Mullan put Whiteabbey two in front on the 34th minute. The Olympic got back into the game after Aiden Doyle scored on the 53rd minute but Whiteabbey sealed the win after Conor Mullen scored his second goal on the 65th minute.   Referee.                                 DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS              2              COOKSTOWN RBL          3

The Swifts went in front after Colin Stewart scored on the 12th minute then RBL equalised on the 18th minute when Benny Gray scored. Stevie Purvis put RBL in front on the 25th minute and this score remained until Gareth Ramsey scored third goal for RBL on the 55th minute. The Swifts narrowed the gap after Stevie McIlhatton scored on the 70th minute but they could not get the elusive equaliser.   Referee Mr. Russell Kennedy

Rathcoole started off well taking the lead after Brian Black scored on the 15th minute. Rathcoole continued to push forward and doubled their lead after Aaron Lindsay scored on the 21st minute and this score remained at half-time. Sports got back into the game after Alan McDonnell scored on the 58th minute but try as they did they could not force an equaliser.      Referee Mr. Tommy Waide

With this result last season league winners have started off strongly going in leading by a hat-trick of goals scored by Michael McArdle on the 16th, 18th, and 20th minutes plus one scored by Conal McKeown on teh 22nd minute.         Newington added four more goals in the second half scored by Daniel Moore 47th, 58th and 88th minutes plus one by Niall Southam on the 79th minute.                Referee Mr. Paul Aston.

The Youth went in front after Mark Megarry scored only to see Woodlands hit back with goals scored by Paul Addis and a brace from Ray Hammond to lead three one at half-time. Mark Megarry converted a penalty early in the second half to reduce the deficit but two more goals scored by Samuel Chambers and Glenn McAuley settled the score in favour of Woodlands.                              Referee Mr. Kenny Bigger

After a steady start by both teams Ballynure went in front after Ryan Stewart scored on the 20th minute. Ballynure went on to double their lead when Jonny Keys scored on teh 44th minute then added two more goals scored by Conor Graham and Aidy Hughes on the 60th and 85th minutes. Chances came and went during teh first-half of this game but the only chance taken was by John Alexander on the 32nd minute to put the Strollers ahead at half-time. A similar pattern of play followed in the second half and this time round Peter Adams scored the only goal in the half on the 61st minute to double the Wakehurst total.

No goals were scored in teh first-half until Matthew Logan opened the scoring for Clough on the 40th minute this being followed by a second scored by Ross Steele on the 44th minute putting Clough two up at half-time. Clough increase their lead on the 75th minute after Matthew Logan scored his second goal in the game then on teh 82nd minute Lloyd Watters pulled a goal back for Castle Star.     Referee Mr. Ian Shiels

The first-half saw lots of good chances created but at half-time there was only one goal scored by Matthew Davies which saw Mountainview in front. The second half again saw good chances only this time two goals were scored by John Morris for Mountainview and Stuart Donaghy for RBL.            Referee Mr. Adrian Dodds

                                68th OLD BOYS ‘A’                          1              3rd BALLYCLARE OB       3

After winning Division Three last season promotion is the aim of the 3rd Ballyclare this time round and on this they good a good start on Saturday winning by three clear goals. Goals in the game were scored by Jon Davey, Jason Norrell and a brace from Marc Campbell for 3rd Ballyclare and Sammy Swain for 68th.

Carnlough took the lead after Jason Adams scored on the 12th minute then Rob Newman equalised for the Rovers on the 26th minute. Gary Wilkinson put the Rovers ahead on the 33rd minute and James Stewart made it three one on the 38th minute. Alan Jones converted a penalty on the 51st minute followed by Nathan Coyle scoring on the 54th minute. Aaron Clerkin and Gary Wilkinson added two more goals on the 58th and 80th minutes before Donny Wright scored for Carnlough on the 85th minute.                    Referee Mr. Russell Wilson

Whitehead had a very good strong first-half going in at the break leading by four goals to nil with goals scored by Danny Hastings, John Pawson, Tony McCune and Michael Brown. The second half saw Whitehead in control scoring three more goals through Steven McConnell and two from Matthew Pitman.

Brantwood always had the winning of this game but the YM should have scored at least a couple of goals. As it turned our goals scored by Jordan Prause (2), Scott Hamilton, Stuart Moore and Samuel Dykes secured the win.

Red Star took an early lead after Matthew McFall scored on the 2nd minute then added a second goal after Michael Rankin scored on the 11th minute. Brian Cunningham made it three nil on the 28th minute and this remained until half-time. The Old Boys pulled a goal back on the 58th minute then goals scored by Noel O’Connor 68th and Matthew McFall 70th minutes completed the scoring.     Referee Mr. Trevor Higgins

1st Carrick went in front after Philip Crozier scored on the 11th minute then saw Tyrell equalise for 18th on the 26th minute. Chris Sands restored the 1st Carrick advantage on the 45th minute from the penalty spot then a second penalty on the 47th minute. Stuart Gourley pulled a goal back for 18th on the 56th minute before Ryan Clawson sealed the win for 1st Carrick when he scored on the 80th minute.            Referee Mr. Lee Patterson
